Australian architects Tzannes and Associates designed and engineered timber building, which uses Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glue Laminated Timber (Glulam) to anchor the building to the waterfront history of Barangaroo, while also creating the future of commercial space. International House Sydney sets new benchmarks in commercial timber developments, with a focus on smart design, energy, carbon and water reduction using advanced technologies, and 6-star green star industry best-practices.
Constructed with wood, CLT has a far lower carbon footprint than other building materials, the production process produces zero waste, and it provides a warmer, cleaner, more natural environment for users. International House Sydney is representative of the enthusiasm for innovative timber buildings in Australia. With buildings such as this, the country is as much a center of innovation in new building technologies as it is an attractive place for innovative companies to locate.
